Stentor
Stentor motoryachts are build in Rumania in a little town, Oltenita, on the banks of the Danube river, not more than 50 kilometer away from Bucharest.
Since 1992 this Dutch company in Rumania with its office, purchasing and engineering-department in Sneek Holland builds Dutch steel seagoing motoryachts on a very high quality standard.
On the shipyard are at the moment more than 75 men (and women) working to prove that Stentor Yachts is the only Dutch company building motoryachts between 15 and 24 meter that is able to build the whole yacht completely with its own people.
At Stentor Yachts in Rumania work carpenters, pipefitters, welders, steelworkers, electriciens, painters, mechanics and engineers. In Sneek they have the office for sales and purchasing, for design and engineering.
Stentor motoryachts are build with pride and craftsmanship under Dutch supervision.
Although build completely from keel to top in Rumania and always delivered ready to sail, you will find no parts in the boat coming from Rumania. All the materials are bought and imported in Holland and by truck transported to Rumania. Even the black steel and the stainless steel is delivered from Holland.
Stentors are designed by Dutch design office Vripack Yachting International and are built according to the CE norm, usually category A.
The robust appearance of Stentor motoryachts is related to Dutch professional craft. Stentors are seaworthy and behave comfortably in a seaway. The quality of the interior, esthetically as well ergonomically, is of a very high standard, and invites to live aboard for long periods. Trials of all Stentors are held on the Danube river.
At the moment the Stentor range consists of the 15, 16 and 18 meter, as well as the Survey 14,95 and the Stentor Survey 16.50. A new design, the Stentor 50 Open Cockpit, has been designed to make a seaworthy ship with the possibility to cross the french canals and the river Rhine without special Rhine Patent. Within the limit of 14,99 meters Stentor achieved together with Naval Architect Vripack a Motoryacht not longer than 15 meters, but with the volume inside of a 16,5 meters yacht.
Then there are the Stentor Trawlers: 16.50 and 18 meter: absolutely the top in Mediterrenean pleasure crafts.
A special division within the range of Stentor live aboard boats are the Stentor Luxe Motors, which are build in all lenghts from 14,95 meters to 24 meters.
